Some time has passed since I began to look for a place to study abroad.
Then you don't know how and stucks in your face. You have arrived. You are scared from the foreigners... but the foreigner are you.
Today I've landed in Sweden. About 1 p.m. the plane landed in Skavsta Airport after a tought journey of hot cabins (I mean... much people, less fresh air) and all-in-english-plane-survival-tips. The day was rainy and my suitcase was broken by the airport-chimpanzee-staff. Luckily, the very efficient department of claims give me an extra suitcase as a gift. The bus that take me to the T-Centralen showed me the blurry swedish countryside because of the light fog present until Stockholm.
Once there, the cold began to surround myself. Guys, I've suffered cold before, but I have never ever felt it so inside my bones. I swear you.
Stockholm is good. It's less than 24 hours that I am here but I think this city is beautiful. It has a characteristic architecture, and everything is surrounded by the humidity of the environment.
This is a quick-post I write you to tell that I have arrived well and that I am ready to begin this.
Doesn't matter the ice, the cold or this hard-to-understand people that swedish are, I'm gonna hold on.
I trust in me, and I trust in Stockholm because it told me:

Much people, less fresh air, and a lot of clothes on your pretty body... Hopefully, you didn't hide the "chorizo/jamón/longaniza" pack between the jackets and all the sweaters.

As you said, hopefully I didn't such thing. Anyway, we have found some supermarkets where one can buy 'normal' spanish food, includig some kind of chorizo and mortadella, but this history will come in future posts.

Pues sí, la verdad es que finalmente no le dediqué mucho tiempo al blog. Pero bueno, igualmente si necesitas saber algo hazmelo saber y podemos estar en contacto por e-mail. Lo que sí puedo decirte es que es una experiencia fantástica y que la disfrutes mucho, porque almenos a mi me acabo enganchando mucho. Tanto me enganchó que en enero volveré, pero esta vez para hacer el PhD, así que deberia plantearme retomar el blog. ¿Tu vas de intercambio, para un máster o para un PhD?
Voy a estudiar un Master en Sistemas de Transporte... Tengo miles de dudas debo confesar y estoy a menos de un mes de irme.. Por ejemplo el hospedaje, KTH no me ha confirmado y tengo mis dudas de que lo haga... sssb no ha sido buena opción pues tengo apenas 63 dias de crédito y se requieren mínimo 340. En fin, por ahora esa sería la duda y cuasiurgencia...

Lo de las dudas es normal, creo que todos hemos ido e iremos con dudas ante cosas así. Veámos hasta dónde puedo ayudarte yo. En mi caso, como Erasmus y por un convenio entre la KTH y mi universidad la propia KTH debia darme alojamiento. El periodo que tardó en darme la habitación también fué grande, y me lo notificaron por e-mail algo menos de un mes antes de ir a Suecia. Tu caso desconozco si será igual, por lo que no sé si la KTH propiamente te buscará hospedaje. La verdad es que la SSSB es una buena opción, pero para que sea factible, tienes que haber planeado ir a la KTH cuatro años antes...toda una locura (...y en ello estoy yo ahora T_T) Espera un poco más, a ver si te notifican algo, e intenta hablar con la oficina de relaciones internacionales de tu universidad a ver si ellos pueden averiguar algo. De todos modos, no te preocupes si tubieras que marchar a Estocolmo y no te hubieran asignado habitación. Muchos estudiantes sub-alquilan su habitación a otros estudiantes por el mismo precio que vale el RENT.

Y siguiéndolos haré eso precisamente, me iré aunque no tenga el hospedaje seguro y ya estando allá veré que puedo conseguir (por supuesto sin dejar de buscar).. sin duda algo tiene que salir pues no creo quedarme en la calle.. La forma en la que me voy es completamente independiente de mi Universidad por lo que no creo que me puedan ayudar.
Mi blog ya está iniciado, su URL es http://sverigemexico.blogspot.com/ aunque no he iniciado con las entradas relacionadas con el master, ya está lo que será su estructura y una primera entrada de prueba.
